It’s now 3 o’clock in the morning on Christmas morning and at last the house has fallen silent after a busy Christmas Eve fulfilling the “to do list” in readiness for the big day later on! Twelve Carol Concerts and Services later the musical members of the family are at last getting a well-earned break. The Turkey is stuffed, the potatoes peeled, a mound of vegetables prepared and the cake, puddings and Yule log freshly made! It is said that Father Christmas is en-route with presents duly wrapped and the last verse of “Oh Come All Ye Faithful” has been sung at Midnight Mass a few hours ago.
But probably the highlight of the preparations for us is the culmination of all these events leading up to the festive season in a family meal where we at last can sit back, relax and enjoy each other’s company for a few hours. To us that is the best part of Christmas; simply spending time with each other, enjoying the festive fayre and fun that abounds.
To each and every one of you therefore that reads this, we wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a wonderful New Year. We pray that you will be able to cherish the time you have with your friends and families this Yuletide and that you and your children will be blessed abundantly in the coming New Year.
